During my mad search for mum accounts when I found out I was pregnant, I stumbled across the lovely Laura (laura_and_isaac) and I had a nosey on her gorgeous little boy, gorgeous home, gorgeous photography, gorgeous… everything! We’ve been in touch for as long as I can remember, and when she announced that she’s going to be starting off with newborn and children’s photography, of course I was set on her doing Amelie’s cake smash shoot.
I can’t quite believe that I now have a ONE YEAR OLD. Eeek. I always feel cliche saying it, but time has flown by! Loving Amelie has been so easy since she is the most friendliest and lively little baby I’ve ever known, and each month has just got better and better (with teething and tantrums aside).
Contraception. The good, the bad and the ugly. Except, the only good thing seems to be the fact that you can prevent unwanted pregnancy. I get quite a few questions about how I fell pregnant and what contraception I’m using now. So, what better way to answer than a rambley blog post?!
Eeek. The last update before my baby turns one! I honestly feel like in the past few weeks/months, I’ve seen the fastest changes in Amelie. She’s developing every single day, and she’s becoming more and more like a little girl rather than a little baby.
Things are starting to get slightly more surreal now. Like, how am I already planning my baby’s first birthday?! I mean, who am I trying to kid… I’ve been planning it for months BUT STILL! Ten whole months with my little Amelie, and I couldn’t be more proud!
This month has been a firm wave of goodbye to sleep, and a (not so) warm welcome back to the eye bags.
Ok, I think we have a new contender for my favourite age so far.
You may (or may not) have noticed that I’ve been a little quiet on here for a few weeks. March was a whirlwind of a month for me, and I really wanted to take a few steps back to take a breather so that April could see better days.
I’ve decided to start a mini series on my seasonal picks for Amelie’s wardrobe. It’s a worrying habit that I go shopping and totally skip the ‘womenswear’ section and jump straight over to the kids wear.
I think it’s fair to say that this has surely been the most challenging month yet. We’ve been trying to balance moving out with a grumpy baby, and my god I am shattered. Nonetheless – Amelie is now seven months old, and my little best friend (when she wants to be).
