1st Birthday Cake Smash

Lifestyle, Motherhood

During my mad search for mum accounts when I found out I was pregnant, I stumbled across the lovely Laura (laura_and_isaac) and I had a nosey on her gorgeous little boy, gorgeous home, gorgeous photography, gorgeous… everything! We’ve been in touch for as long as I can remember, and when she announced that she’s going to be starting off with newborn and children’s photography, of course I was set on her doing Amelie’s cake smash shoot.

Laura tailored the shoot to suit my style, which she done perfectly. She asked me what kind of theme I was after and the only word I gave was ‘boho’. With that, she went for a rose gold and floral theme which was exactly what I was after! Laura sent me sneak peaks of the props prior to the shoot so that she could ensure that I was 100% happy with the set up for Amelie.

We travelled around an hour and a half as Laura is based in Oxfordshire. Besides Amelie pooing in the bath and ruining all chances of baby modelling, she was a little dream in front of the camera. Laura was so patient whilst Amelie crawled left, right and centre; and she even had the cutest little assistant keeping Amelie entertained throughout the shoot. That being Isaac, of course.

I’m pretty set on Laura being the one behind the camera whilst Amelie grows now, and will for sure be booking in for various other shoots over the next few years. I’m so so pleased with the pictures, and I’ve been dying to share them all with you on here so I hope you love them as much as I do!

If you have any enquiries on the cake smash sessions, feel free to send Laura a DM on her Instagram page and I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to answer!
